Become a FLE teacher at the AFBE

A key player in the promotion of French in Brussels, the Alliance Française de Bruxelles-Europe is at the forefront of educational innovation in teaching and the design of French as a foreign language (FLE) for adults (e-learning, bimodal, etc.).

Attentive to the quality of our teaching and the satisfaction of our learners, we seek the professional development of our teaching team. In addition to working in a pleasant work environment including a workspace reserved for teachers, you will receive continuous training to allow you to progress in your profession.

We are looking for FLE teachers throughout the year.
Here is the detailed offer to join our teaching team:

Course location: Brussels.
Required status: Have a Belgian self-employed status (not compatible with Smart) or French auto-entrepreneur.
Profile – Prerequisites:

  • French as a foreign language diploma.
  • French-speaking Nati-f-ve.
  • Flexible as to schedules (available for evening classes – twice a week minimum).
  • Open-mindedness and dynamism.
  • Knowledge / attraction for digital educational tools.
  • Experience in teaching FLE for adults would be a plus.

Types of services:

  • Teaching French as a foreign language to adult audiences – standard and/or specific – in group and/or individual lessons.
  • Passing DELF-DALF-TCF-DFP certifications.

Remuneration: Gross hourly rate from €25 to €39 depending on the type of services.
Availability sought:

  • Group lessons: primarily in the evenings (2 evenings per week, Lu/Me or Ma/Je 6:15 p.m.-8:45 p.m.).
  • Individual lessons: variables, depending on requests.
