At the heart of the European institutions and international organisations, French remains a language of work, dialogue and negotiation. Mastering French is a valuable asset for students pursuing careers in diplomacy, European affairs or international organisations.
The International Relations Programme at Alliance Française Bruxelles-Europe combines advanced French language training with an immersive introduction to the European institutional environment. Participants strengthen their French while gaining insight into how European institutions work, the major international issues and the realities of working in a multicultural setting.
Through an approach that combines French for International Relations, institutional visits, professional meetings and practical simulations, participants develop the confidence to communicate effectively, present arguments, debate ideas and analyse international issues in authentic contexts.
Each programme is fully customised to meet your institution’s educational objectives and your students’ academic profiles.
Classes are taught by certified teachers who specialise in French for International Relations.
Our teaching methodology follows a communicative, action-oriented approach, enabling participants to use their language skills immediately in situations that closely reflect their future professional environment.
Course content is developed in collaboration with your institution and may focus on European institutions, diplomacy, international organisations, public policy, international cooperation, any other topic related to your academic curriculum.

Before the programme begins, participants take a placement test to assess their French level. Learning then continues beyond the classroom through visits and professional encounters organised in Brussels, creating a seamless connection between language training and real-world experience.
At the end of the programme, each participant receives a certificate of participation.
